  • Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version for bug fixing and improvement.
  • Crash reports — anonymised crash data to help us fix issues quickly.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the Fathom Blue app and website.
  • Send you launch notifications and app updates (waitlist emails only).
  • Provide customer support when you contact us.
  • Personalise your training experience and adapt training tables to your ability.
  • Analyse usage trends to develop new features ocean athletes actually want.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate Fathom Blue:

  • Supabase — database and authentication. Your email and training data is stored securely on Supabase servers.
  • RevenueCat — subscription management and in-app purchase processing via Apple and Google. We do not store your payment details.
  • AdMob (Google) — advertising on the free tier of the app. AdMob may use your device identifier to serve relevant ads.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — app distribution. Their respective privacy policies apply to any purchases made through their stores.
  • Vercel — website hosting and delivery.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We select partners who meet high standards for data security.

4. Data Sharing

We never sell your personal data to third parties. Full stop.

We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • With our service providers listed above, only to the extent necessary to operate the service.
  • If required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.
  • In the event of a merger or acquisition, with your rights protected under this policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
